Team Registration info
The Registration Fee
is $300 for Professional teams and $150 for Backyard teams. A convenience fee for those wishing to pay with credit/debit cards will be added to your total. The total is $308.32 for Pro, $154.31 for Backyard, and $25 for Kid's Que (free entry with an accompanying entrant to either Pro & Backyard competition). Payments by check do not incur this extra cost, even though it will list it in your bill of sale in the checkout. Click here to download the registration form.
Kids Que Information
Kids can begin preparing their cook at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, and the cook turn-in time for the Kids Que is on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. There are two different age groups for Kids Que: ages 6-10, and 11-15. If not enough Kids Que teams sign up then we will combine age groups. Kids Que for this contest is limited to cooking of ground beef. So anything as long as it is ground beef. For example, sliders, burgers, meatballs, spaghetti, etc. Do remember that all items are still to be cooked via charcoal grills. That means no toaster ovens, electric heat (other than wood pellet grills) such as electric stoves, cook tops, etc. If you're a Pro/BY team wanting to add a Kids Que registration to your order, please be sure to use the coupon code "hawgfree" when you get to the checkout.

Power & Water
Teams are given access to their choice of power, as well as water. There are a limited amount of breakers and teams will be placed closest to the location of the size power plug they will be pulling from.
What is parking like at the competition?
Parking is based on a first come first serve basis but you will be located according to your power needs based on your registration.
Are power and water provided to the teams?
Power and water are both readily available but we will not supply power cords or adapters, nor will we supply splitters for hoses for water. Please bring at ample of power cord/water hose (at least 50' of each) & splitter in the event your space is further from the power stations or water spigots.
What is the schedule for arriving?
Teams can begin arriving at the park at noon on Thursday August 1st, or Friday at 8 a.m. There will be a cook's meeting Friday at 5:30 p.m. in the judges' tent. Meat inspection will begin Friday morning at 9 a.m. and you will be given your turn-in boxes as soon as they are labeled by our KCBS reps.
The turn-in times for this event are as follows:
Chicken 12:00 p.m., Pork Ribs 12:30 p.m., Pork Butt 1:00 p.m., and Brisket 1:30 p.m.;
Chicken 12:00 p.m., Pork Ribs 12:30 p.m., Pork Butt 1:00 p.m.
Kids Que Division-
Chef's Choice 2:30 p.m.
When are awards given out?
Awards will begin at or as close to 4:00 p.m. or depending on when all scores/payouts are finalized and score sheets are printed and in-hand.
All payouts will be made via checks. No cash payouts. Teams will be required to list who the check is to be made out to at the time of registration.
